At Mindarie Netball Club, we encourage all members to further their education about netball. Umpires are the most important people on the court. If we don't have umpires - we don't have a game!!
The MDNA Umpiring Coordinator, Keely Gregory, will be running an umpiring course to assist those who wish to enrol in the winter WDNA Green Shirt Umpire Program. This course will build confidence, assist with understanding of the rules, teach hand signals, how/when to blow the whistle and understand the importance of being an umpire.
To enrol in the course you must be turning 12 (or older) in 2022. 
Volunteers will also be required for a scratch match to assist with practical units of the course.
Note: This course does not provide umpiring certification, it is for preparation of the WDNA Green Shirt Umpire Program only.

BEGINNERS UMPIRING COURSE

Eligible for MDNA members only who are turning 12 (or older) in 2022.
When: 21st January 2022
Where: Irene McCormack Catholic College - Paul Rafter Centre Gym
Time: 9am-12pm
​Cost: $40 with whistle / $20 without whistle
What to bring: Hair tie (for wrist), water bottle, must be wearing running shoes, a copy of the Netball Rule Book. You will require to have a Thunderer Official Referee whistle, which can be purchased with the course (retail price is $29.99 at Rebel Sport).
